Role Description

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to join one of our project teams, working under the guidance of the Project Manager. This comprehensive role involves managing the commercial aspects of your assigned project.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee subcontract procurement, including scope definition, preparation of tender packages, and evaluation of trade submissions.
  • Assess subcontractor payment claims, process back charges, and manage retention amounts.
  • Maintain budget control, generate cost reports, forecast cash flow, and manage accruals.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier quotes, identify any scope discrepancies, and conduct thorough vetting.
  • Perform project take-offs, conduct accurate measurements, and manage procurement schedules.
  • Ensure diligent document control and coordinate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Record meeting minutes, coordinate the review of shop drawings, and handle general project administration.

Requirements

  • A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator on construction projects.
  • Solid understanding of head contract conditions, subcontract administration, and SOPA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations is advantageous.
