Role Description
We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to join one of our project teams, working under the guidance of the Project Manager. This comprehensive role involves managing the commercial aspects of your assigned project.
Responsibilities
- Manage progress claims, variations, extensions of time (EOTs), notices of delay (NODs), and ensure compliance with the Security of Payment Act (SOPA).
- Oversee subcontract procurement, including scope definition, preparation of tender packages, and evaluation of trade submissions.
- Assess subcontractor payment claims, process back charges, and manage retention amounts.
- Maintain budget control, generate cost reports, forecast cash flow, and manage accruals.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotes, identify any scope discrepancies, and conduct thorough vetting.
- Perform project take-offs, conduct accurate measurements, and manage procurement schedules.
- Ensure diligent document control and coordinate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Record meeting minutes, coordinate the review of shop drawings, and handle general project administration.
Requirements
- A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator on construction projects.
- Solid understanding of head contract conditions, subcontract administration, and SOPA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations is advantageous.
