Job description
About Denk Pharma
DENK PHARMA GmbH & Co. KG has been operating as a family-owned business since 1948 and is active in more than 80 countries. Guided by the principle “Quality for your Health – Made in Germany,” the company aims to make healthcare accessible for customers through its products. Unlike many pharma companies, DENK PHARMA provides all customers with the same medicines and dietary supplements that are available in Germany. To uphold this standard, the products are produced almost entirely in Germany, tested for quality in Germany, and approved in Germany.
Role overview
As Coordinator Logistics (m/w/d), you will manage the day-to-day handling of national and international shipments and help ensure that products reach customers and partners reliably, completely, and on time. You will act as the coordinating link between the warehouse, freight forwarders, and internal teams, contributing directly to the quality and punctuality of the supply chain. With your process-oriented mindset and structured way of working, you will support the continuous improvement of DENK PHARMA’s logistics excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the operational processing of orders and shipments across truck, sea, and air transport so customers receive goods on time and in full, while consistently supporting an OTIF target of at least 95%.
- Ensure that all transport activities comply with applicable GDP requirements, strengthening end-to-end quality assurance across the supply chain.
- Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation carefully to reduce errors and avoid delays or follow-up queries from freight forwarders and customs authorities.
- Record logistics-related complaints in a structured manner and route them to the relevant stakeholders so causes can be identified quickly and escalations can be avoided.
- Coordinate returns smoothly and document the process clearly so internal workflows remain transparent and follow-up costs are kept down.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels regularly to identify shortages early and keep order processing running without backlogs.
- Keep document archives organized and up to date so important records are revision-safe and easy to retrieve at any time.
- Spot opportunities to improve daily workflows, such as through standard templates or checklists, and implement practical changes independently to reduce processing time and mistakes.
- Work closely with the warehouse, freight providers, and internal departments to keep lead times on track and resolve bottlenecks early.
- Contribute operational expertise to logistics-related projects and share learnings proactively with the team to support long-term process improvements.
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training or a similar qualification.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a commercial role, ideally within forwarding or logistics.
- A strong service mindset and clear customer focus.
- Confidence in a fast-moving operational environment, with quick comprehension, a structured approach, and strong coordination skills.
- Dependability and teamwork are highly valued in this closely connected logistics setup.
- Fluent German skills and very good written and spoken English, since you will regularly communicate with international partners and freight forwarders.
- An open and curious attitude toward digital tools and AI-enabled applications to help standardize shipping processes, improve document templates, and spot supply-chain bottlenecks early.
What we offer
- Flexible working hours and the option to work remotely from time to time.
- Regular company celebrations such as Oktoberfest visits, summer party, carnival, and Christmas party, plus an annual team event and frequent after-work gatherings on the rooftop terrace.
- Open exchange and feedback through monthly pulse surveys and regular development discussions with your manager.
- Training and growth opportunities, including internal and external workshops based on individual needs.
- Health and fitness benefits through EGYM Wellpass, free dietary supplements, and snacks such as fruit, nuts, and ice cream.
- Buddy support for questions, networking help, and a welcome lunch.
- A 150 EUR shopping card, exclusive discounts via corporate benefits, a performance-based bonus, company pension scheme, and more.
