Corporate Banking Analyst

Role Overview

BMO Capital Markets is hiring an Analyst for its Corporate Banking Metals & Mining team in London. In this role, you will help originate, execute, and manage a portfolio of lending transactions for a broad set of global Metals & Mining clients spanning Europe, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the end-to-end delivery of corporate lending deals, including revolving credit facilities, syndicated lending, and project finance arrangements.
• Build and review financial models, carry out credit assessment, determine debt capacity, and analyze covenant structures.
• Draft credit submissions, transaction briefs, and client-facing presentation materials.
• Research companies, commodities, and wider industry trends to support transaction decisions.
• Help organize due diligence and coordinate execution activities with both internal teams and outside parties.
• Partner closely with Investment Banking and other product groups such as Debt Capital Markets, Trade Finance, Risk Management, and Global Markets.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a comparable field. Strong analytical thinking and financial modelling capability are important, along with a genuine interest in corporate finance, lending, and the Metals & Mining industry. Prior experience in corporate banking, investment banking, credit analysis, or another related financial services environment is preferred.
