Job description
About Bodily
Bodily is a rapidly growing, venture-backed company focused on innovating within underserved areas of women's health. We develop research-backed products for significant life stages such as postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and pregnancy loss, applying the same level of rigor found in consumer tech or luxury retail to address clinical needs. Our esteemed investors include Hearst Corporation, Morgan Stanley, and Global Founders Capital, alongside notable strategic backers like Brooklyn Decker, Andy Roddick, and Katherine Schwarzenegger-Pratt. We have established a robust direct-to-consumer business and are expanding our wholesale partnerships, including national distribution with Target, while executing an ambitious growth strategy across multiple channels.
The Opportunity
Bodily is entering an exciting growth phase and seeks a Creative Lead to shape the brand's visual identity and presence across all customer touchpoints. This is a hands-on role demanding significant ownership, where you will spearhead and implement creative direction for digital, social media, paid advertising, email marketing, e-commerce platforms, and product packaging. You will collaborate closely with the CMO for strategic alignment and approval, rather than relying on traditional briefing processes. This position is ideal for individuals who excel with autonomy and trust, and who are motivated by the opportunity to drive creative initiatives independently. A core requirement is AI fluency, integrated as a fundamental aspect of the creative workflow to enhance speed, elevate creative output, and achieve objectives that might otherwise be unattainable for a lean team. You will report directly to the CMO and work in tandem with the Growth Marketing Manager, E-commerce Manager, Social Media Manager, and external agency partners across various paid, organic, and third-party channels.
How You'll Make Your Mark
Brand & Creative Direction
- Spearhead Bodily's visual output across all digital platforms, social media, email campaigns, e-commerce sites, paid media initiatives, packaging, and broader campaign efforts, ensuring a cohesive and sophisticated brand aesthetic is maintained across every interaction.
- Proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance the brand's visual presence, including exploring new content formats, refining existing executions, addressing gaps in the visual system, and recognizing key moments for brand engagement.
- Initiate and present creative concepts and strategic directions to the CMO for feedback and alignment, taking a leading role in the creative process rather than awaiting explicit instructions.
- Develop and maintain robust visual systems, adaptable templates, and comprehensive brand standards to facilitate faster team execution and ensure consistent brand representation.
Marketing Design, Digital & Ecommerce
- Design compelling visuals for social media, email marketing, paid advertising, web interfaces, e-commerce platforms, and campaign materials, informed by a strong understanding of what drives engagement and aligns with brand identity.
- Produce creative assets tailored to specific campaign messaging, brand guidelines, promotional activities, product launches, and e-commerce objectives.
- Craft sophisticated product detail page (PDP) assets that effectively communicate product benefits, features, and brand positioning with clarity and persuasive appeal.
- Support sales and promotional campaigns through the creation of assets for email newsletters, advertisements, homepage placements, product listing page (PLP) cards, and other website elements.
- Generate polished mockups for website enhancements, campaign concepts, and merchandising strategies to facilitate efficient discussion and decision-making.
Paid Media, Social & Video
- Develop weekly static, GIF, and short-form video creative assets for Meta and other paid advertising channels, managing asset delivery to agency partners and leveraging performance data to inform future creative development.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to produce engaging short-form video content for both paid and organic social channels, including Reels, Story ads, product demonstrations, user-generated content (UGC)-style edits, and campaign-specific videos. Proficiency in video editing timelines and an understanding of in-feed content performance are essential.
- Utilize AI-powered video and motion tools (such as CapCut, Gemini, or similar) to expand creative output and accelerate production without compromising quality.
- Provide creative input and support to the Social Media Manager by developing templates, visual systems, and campaign assets that are adaptable across various formats and placements.
- Contribute creative insights and support for updating product detail pages (PDPs), A+ content, and storefronts on platforms like Amazon, Target, and Walmart.
AI-Powered Creative Workflow
- Integrate AI tools for image generation, video enhancement, performance analysis, and copywriting assistance as a regular part of the daily workflow.
- Identify opportunities for AI to streamline production processes, increase testing velocity, and enable creative executions not feasible with current team resources.
- Stay informed about emerging AI tools and advocate for those that enhance team efficiency and creative capabilities.
Packaging & Print
- Assist in the design and development of packaging for both new and existing product lines.
- Prepare production-ready files, including print specifications and artwork revisions, with meticulous attention to typography, color accuracy, visual hierarchy, and legal compliance.
- Support the creation of hang tags, care labels, inserts, and other printed collateral.
- Maintain organized project files, templates, and creative systems to ensure efficient production workflows.
