Position Overview
We are looking for an accomplished Curriculum Coordinator to support a respected international school in Doha. This role focuses on strengthening curriculum design, instructional quality, and overall academic performance. It is well suited to an education professional with hands-on experience in the American curriculum and a commitment to improving teaching and learning standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, rollout, and ongoing refinement of the American curriculum for the assigned grade levels.
- Partner with school leadership and teachers to keep curriculum delivery aligned with academic standards and established best practices.
- Guide teachers through coaching, mentoring, classroom visits, and constructive performance feedback.
- Create and apply initiatives that raise student achievement and improve academic results.
- Manage curriculum mapping, assessment planning, and the organisation of teaching resources.
- Track instructional quality to make sure curriculum goals are delivered consistently.
- Review student data to spot patterns and recommend focused support strategies.
- Design and deliver professional development programmes for teaching staff.
- Encourage modern teaching approaches and the effective use of educational technology.
- Help ensure adherence to accreditation requirements, school policies, and curriculum expectations.
- Work with department heads and senior leaders to deliver the school’s academic priorities.
- Build a team-oriented environment that supports ongoing improvement and strong educational outcomes.
- Contribute to school improvement plans, curriculum evaluations, and accreditation activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in curriculum coordination, instructional leadership, or academic management in an international school using the American curriculum.
- Solid understanding of curriculum development, assessment systems, and effective teaching practices.
- Proven ability to coach educators and enhance classroom performance.
- Experience in curriculum mapping, academic planning, and analysing student achievement data.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to lead cross-functional academic teams and balance multiple initiatives at once.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and school management or educational administration platforms.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Fluent English communication skills are required.
- Prior exposure to school accreditation processes such as Cognia, NEASC, or comparable bodies is an added advantage.
- A genuine interest in educational innovation, continuous improvement, and student success is important.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural international school setting.
