About the role
This position focuses on handling grocery deliveries safely and on time, making sure orders are loaded, transported and unloaded according to agreed schedules. A key part of the job is delivering a consistently high level of customer care, including protecting customers’ property from any damage and using sign-on-glass technology for every delivery. The role also includes workplace safety, health and environment responsibilities in line with policy, along with pre-shift vehicle checks and keeping the vehicle clean inside and out.
Key duties
- Deliver groceries safely, punctually and in line with delivery commitments.
- Provide strong customer service throughout each delivery interaction.
- Handle challenging customer situations calmly and professionally.
- Use sign-on-glass systems for all completed deliveries.
- Complete vehicle inspections before each shift and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Follow safety, health and environment requirements at all times.
What you need
The role suits someone who communicates well, works neatly, and can stay organised in a busy environment. You should be able to work on your own, manage several priorities, and present yourself professionally. A current full driver’s licence is required.
