About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Expert for a contract position. This role involves evaluating AI-generated outputs in cybersecurity domains, creating realistic security scenarios, and annotating data for AI training. You will provide critical feedback on AI performance against established security frameworks and standards. This is a remote, contract-based opportunity with compensation structured per completed task, with potential for bonuses and hourly transition based on performance.

Role Responsibilities

• Assess and review AI-generated content related to threat analysis, vulnerability identification, and security architecture proposals.
• Develop authentic scenarios mirroring cybersecurity operations, including incident response plans, threat hunting procedures, and penetration testing reports.
• Annotate, categorize, and verify data for various cybersecurity applications, such as evaluating the accuracy of CVE classifications and triaging SIEM alerts.
• Offer detailed feedback on the precision of AI in applying cybersecurity frameworks like NIST CSF and MITRE ATT&CK, as well as threat intelligence standards like STIX/TAXII.
• Engage in asynchronous collaboration with research teams to enhance the evaluation methodologies for cybersecurity AI.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, gained within an enterprise setting, Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), consultancy, or a government/defense organization.
• A solid background in areas such as Security Operations Center (SOC) analysis, Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), penetration testing, threat intelligence, or security architecture.
• Proficiency in analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex security operations into structured evaluation tasks.
• Excellent written communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Preferred

• Possession of relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GIAC certifications, or Security+.

Compensation & Legal

• Payment is provided per completed task, with rates reflecting the quality of the work.
• Top performers are eligible for a weekly performance bonus.
• Opportunities for hourly compensation may arise for individuals demonstrating consistent high-quality work.
