About the role
This opportunity is with a major Australian energy business operating across electricity, natural gas, LPG, solar, power generation, energy trading and emerging technologies. The role is based in Devonport, Tasmania, and sits within the Transport & Logistics function.
You will work alongside the Asset Delivery Manager to support the safe and reliable distribution of LPG cylinders to domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural customers across the region. The position places strong emphasis on safety, OH&S compliance and dependable customer service.
Key duties
- Deliver LPG products safely and accurately to customer sites, ensuring jobs are completed on time and with a strong customer focus.
- Load and unload LPG cylinder trucks while working cooperatively with the wider team.
- Manage daily tasks and terminal logistics efficiently, including the ability to work independently when needed.
- Take part in terminal activities such as maintenance support, work order completion and general cleaning.
- Contribute to health, safety and environment initiatives, including safety meetings, training sessions and required documentation.
What you need
- Previous experience in a delivery driving role, ideally within LPG or a comparable industry.
- A current and valid Medium Rigid (MR) licence, which is essential.
- A current forklift licence, which is desirable.
- The physical strength and stamina to handle repeated lifting of up to 25 kg and to move cylinders weighing as much as 85 kg, with trolleys provided.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a solid background in customer-facing delivery work.
- A clear safety-first attitude and strong commitment to safe work practices.
