Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position is for a Data Capture Specialist in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The role centers on entering, checking, updating, and confirming information across company databases and systems. The successful candidate will gather data from multiple sources, ensure records are complete and correct, and keep both digital and paper files well organized. The position also includes working with teammates to fix inconsistencies, preparing basic reports, and assisting with administrative tasks connected to data management.
Key Duties
- Enter new information into company systems with a high level of speed and accuracy.
- Review and update records to keep databases current and reliable.
- Collect information from different sources and verify that it is complete and correct.
- Maintain orderly digital and physical records for easy retrieval and reference.
- Work with colleagues to identify and resolve mismatches or gaps in data.
- Prepare straightforward reports when needed.
- Support administrative activities related to data processing and record management.
- Follow company procedures and protect sensitive information at all times.
- Help improve data capture routines and workflow efficiency over time.
Qualifications and Skills
- Good communication ability and a professional customer service approach when speaking with colleagues, clients, or other stakeholders.
- Fast and accurate typing, along with solid computer use and comfort with office applications, spreadsheets, and data entry tools.
- Prior experience handling administrative tasks such as filing, records organization, and general office support.
- Careful attention to detail and the discipline to follow instructions and structured processes.
- Awareness of basic data privacy and confidentiality practices.
- Ability to work from the Abeokuta site, manage time well, and meet deadlines without close supervision.
- Secondary school certificate or an equivalent qualification is required; training in ICT, office administration, or a related area is a plus.
