Role Summary

BlueStar is looking for a careful and self-driven Data Entry Specialist to support its CDW sales team. The role is central to keeping customer orders accurate and maintaining clean, reliable data across systems. Success in this position requires familiarity with Oracle or comparable ERP platforms, strong organization, and the ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative team setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer orders, shipping paperwork, and related documents, then extract the required details accurately.
  • Enter information into the appropriate systems using Oracle, Microsoft Excel, or other ERP tools.
  • Check records before and after entry to ensure accuracy and review margin reports.
  • Keep information aligned and consistent across databases.
  • Escalate mistakes or mismatches to the relevant supervisor.
  • Handle routine administrative follow-up, including communicating pricing concerns and part-number updates to customers, buyers, and sales representatives.
  • Work comfortably as part of a team while supporting day-to-day operational needs.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or above is preferred.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of experience in data entry, order processing, or a related administrative function.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
  • High accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle several tasks and prioritize work in a busy environment.
  • Comfort using both independent and team-based working styles.
