The Gleneagle Hotel is seeking a Full Time Day Porter for its location in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. This is a permanent, year-round role requiring full-time availability, including weekends. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, helpful, guest-focused, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service to create a warm and welcoming environment.

About The Role

The Day Porter will be responsible for providing efficient porter services, assisting guests with information, supporting hotel departments, and ensuring a professional and welcoming guest experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver polite and efficient porter services to guests, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Offer assistance and information to guests regarding hotel events, local attractions, directions, and recommendations.
  • Provide support to other hotel departments as needed.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally at the hotel entrance.
  • Assist guests with their luggage, escort them to their rooms, and explain room amenities.
  • Offer service to guests in the lobby area when required.
  • Manage the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms.
  • Provide accurate information about the hotel and the surrounding local area.

Requirements

  • A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
  • A genuine passion for guest care and hospitality.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexibility to work weekends as required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or tourism is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a guest-facing role is preferred.

Additional Information
