Job Summary

Centra is seeking a dedicated Deli Assistant for their Ennis, County Clare location. The primary focus of this role is to prepare high-quality hot and cold deli items while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This position requires a passion for food and the ability to engage customers with product knowledge and recommendations.

Main Duties

• Uphold Centra's brand values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based.
• Fulfill customer orders for both hot and cold deli items, including crafting sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and portioning meats according to store standards.
• Cook, prepare, and maintain attractive food displays throughout the day.
• Ensure all fresh food counters are impeccably presented at all times.
• Share culinary knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations to inspire shoppers and demonstrate a passion for quality food.
• Address customer inquiries promptly, professionally, and in accordance with store policies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• While not mandatory, HACCP training is considered a plus.
• Possesses strong communication abilities.
• Previous experience in customer service is beneficial.
• Capable of collaborating effectively within a team in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for food and can inspire customers.
