Job Requirements and Duties

To be considered for this role, you must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets company standards. You will also need access to a reliable, insured vehicle for deliveries. Strong navigational skills are essential, including the ability to read maps, locate addresses within our delivery zones, and navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings.

General Store Team Member Duties

• Operate all necessary equipment.
• Restock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and workstations.
• Prepare food products according to company standards.
• Handle incoming telephone orders efficiently.
• Conduct inventory checks and complete associated paperwork.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and the facility on a daily basis.

Training

Comprehensive on-the-job training and orientation will be provided.

Communication Skills

• Ability to understand and follow written instructions accurately.
• Proficiency in verbal communication with customers and colleagues for order processing, both in person and over the phone.

Essential Functions and Skills

• Accurate and rapid performance of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), with calculator use permitted.
• Competence in making correct monetary change.
• Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills for order taking and processing.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise and rapid movements.
• Ability to input orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
• Proficiency in map reading and locating addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Capability to navigate challenging terrains, including multi-story buildings and various delivery sites, while carrying product.

Work Conditions

Exposure:

• Potential exposure to varying weather conditions during outdoor tasks like trash removal.
• In-store temperatures can range from 36°F in the cooler to over 90°F in certain work areas.
• Sudden temperature changes may occur between work areas and outdoors.
• Exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust.
• Work may involve cramped spaces, including the walk-in cooler.
• Exposure to hot surfaces and tools (up to 500°F or higher) from ovens.
• Risk of cuts from sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries, driving, and coupon distribution.

Sensing:

• Ability to talk and hear on the telephone.
• Near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks.
• Depth perception is required.
• Ability to distinguish between hot and cold surfaces.
• Far vision and night vision are necessary for driving.

• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, manage stress, adhere to strict quality standards, interact effectively with people, analyze data, and make sound judgments and decisions.

Additional Information: Physical Requirements

Standing: Most tasks are performed while standing. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum. Work surface heights range from 36" to 48".

Walking: Required for short distances between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.

Sitting: Primarily for completing paperwork in an office setting.

Lifting: Team members unload bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck. Cases are typically lifted from the floor and stacked up to 72" high.

Carrying: Involves carrying items like large cans (3 lbs 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs each). Pizzas and beverages are carried during deliveries.

Pushing: Required to move dollies with stacks of trays (approx. 24"-30"), requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force. Trays may also be pulled.

Climbing: Infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders may be necessary for tasks like changing signs or maintenance. Deliveries may require navigating five or more flights of stairs.

Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is common at the pizza assembly station and when stocking ingredients. This position may require continuous bending for 30-45 second intervals.

Crouching/Squatting: Performed occasionally for tasks such as stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.

Reaching: Continuous reaching up, down, and forward is required. This includes reaching above 72" for oven controls or sign changes, and reaching down to scoop ingredients or wash dishes. Forward reaching is needed for ingredients, cleaning, and answering phones.

Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated area, potentially making multiple deliveries per shift. This includes delivering flyers and door hangers.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids

Team members may use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.

Driving Specific Job Duties

Deliver product by car to the customer's door. Distribute flyers and door hangers.
