Company Overview
Nash, the Gardner Denver Germany GmbH branch, is a globally recognized specialist in vacuum technology and is part of Ingersoll Rand. The team in Nuremberg is looking for creative, proactive people who want to contribute fresh ideas to the Project ETO (Engineered-to-Order) area.
Role Summary
This position focuses on project-specific design work in plant engineering and special-purpose machine construction using CAD tools.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and adapt the design of vacuum and compressor systems based on internal and external specifications using 2D and 3D CAD software, ensuring required dimensions, tolerances, functional details, and manufacturing constraints are properly defined.
- Develop drawing packages to a detail-ready standard in coordination with project managers and external suppliers, taking into account manufacturing methods, specified materials, and technical standards.
- Handle design modifications by reviewing internal design documents, assessing feasibility and functionality, and turning preliminary concepts into production-ready drawings.
- Review fabrication drawings supplied by vendors and suppliers.
- Convert detailed designs into technical lists such as bills of materials in CAD and SAP, including export to spreadsheet tools while following the internal numbering system and project-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Completed technician qualification in mechanical engineering or an equivalent background with hands-on experience in design and/or manufacturing.
- Confident use of 3D CAD software, preferably AutoCAD or Inventor.
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills.
Work Setup
This is an onsite role in Nuremberg. No travel is required.
