Role overview

BlupaceTech is hiring for BAND 1 roles in Germany. This position is based in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, and involves onsite support. The company is looking for candidates with at least 4 years of experience. No sponsorship is available for this opening. A minimum German language level of B2-C1 is required.

Key responsibilities

The role focuses on second-line desktop support and incident resolution, including communication, updates, troubleshooting, and maintenance across user devices and desktop environments.

  • Act as the second point of contact for customer issues and resolve technical problems.
  • Coordinate with vendors to handle complex antivirus-related incidents.
  • Keep users informed with timely status updates and final resolution details.
  • Ensure tickets are updated consistently for all incidents.
  • Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber, and other approved desktop applications.
  • Provide basic support for Mac systems and assist Apple computer users when needed.
  • Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware.
  • Carry out routine preventive maintenance on computers, laptops, and printers.
  • Perform repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and other approved peripheral devices.

Required background and skills

Candidates should bring strong technical troubleshooting ability, hands-on desktop support experience, and the flexibility to work outside normal hours when project or emergency support demands it.

  • At least 4 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Practical knowledge of Windows 7 through Windows 10, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Microsoft Office 365, PC hardware setup and troubleshooting, enterprise antivirus tools, and helpdesk ticketing platforms.
  • Experience with mobile device management for iOS and Android devices.
  • Exposure to enterprise encryption solutions and Windows laptop/PC administration through Active Directory.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet SLA targets.
  • Good communication, relationship-building, and internal customer service skills.
  • Adaptability in a fast-moving work environment.
  • Willingness to work weekends or off-hours when required.
