Role Overview
Twilio is looking for a Digital Sales Representative to help expand the business through new customer acquisition, solution-based selling, and closing deals for self-service accounts. The position plays an important part in growing revenue and supporting customers from first contact through adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Own net-new customer acquisition for a defined territory and help drive new revenue while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
- Engage customers across different industries to understand their business goals and technical needs, then shape the right solution using Twilio’s communications API platform.
- Partner with internal teams such as Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support to resolve customer needs and guide communication strategy.
- Explain technical and commercial details in a clear, simple way that helps customers make informed decisions.
- Manage several deals and priorities at once, keeping work organized in a fast-moving environment.
- Contribute to process improvement by helping create new approaches and building practical sales playbooks.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sales development or business development experience at a technology company, or more than 1 year of closing experience in another industry.
- Interest in or understanding of the cloud computing and communications business model, along with an enthusiasm for solution-led selling to technical buyers.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to simplify technical and financial topics.
- Experience in technical solutions selling and a customer-first approach that includes listening carefully and solving problems.
- High adaptability and comfort with experimentation in a fast-paced environment.
- Mandarin fluency in speaking and writing is preferred for work with Chinese customers.
Location and Travel
This role is remote and based in Singapore. Occasional travel may be required for project work or in-person team meetings.
