Role overview

Cleanaway Waste Management is hiring a permanent full-time driver based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This position involves operating waste collection vehicles and supporting the safe transport of loads to approved recycling and disposal sites.

Compensation and work conditions

• Pay starts at $41.72 per hour.
• A quarterly retention bonus of $2,000 is included, paid every 3 months.
• Overtime may be available.
• This is a permanent role in Kalgoorlie, WA.
• The job requires an early morning start and a good level of physical fitness.

Key duties

• Drive and operate different vehicles in the waste collection fleet.
• Use company trucks and related equipment to complete daily rounds.
• Carry out pre-start inspections and routine checks on vehicles and equipment each day.
• Transport collected loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities.
• Help maintain a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-presented inside and out.
• Follow fatigue management requirements, rules, and training obligations.

Candidate profile

Applicants should hold an unrestricted HR licence and a forklift licence. Experience handling a variety of trucks is important, along with a clean driving history, a professional manner, and a strong customer service focus. The role also calls for a clear commitment to safety and the ability to work well in a team.

Checks and screening

Selected candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, drug and alcohol screening, and a National Police Check. These checks are paid for by Cleanaway.
