Job description

About the Role

Early Bird Club operates six private bilingual daycare locations across Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, and Leinfelden-Echterdingen. These centres provide care in German and English, supporting children from 8 weeks to 3 years in crèche settings and from age 3 until they move on to primary school in kindergarten groups. The work is based on small-group care and on meeting each child according to their individual stage of development.

The organisation’s locations include Stuttgart/Ost, two centres in Stuttgart/West, Stuttgart Vaihingen, Ludwigsburg, and Leinfelden-Echterdingen. The environment is described as warm, collaborative, and development-focused, with room for initiative, contribution, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive care, guidance, and developmental support to crèche or kindergarten children.
  • Observe children regularly and document progress through notes and portfolio work.
  • Plan and lead engaging activities that are both active and creative.
  • Implement the educational and orientation framework in daily work.
  • Prepare for and conduct parent discussions as well as child development meetings.
  • Take part in team meetings and contribute to daily care-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Completed training or qualification as an educator is required.
  • A degree in early childhood education, elementary education, or a similar field is expected.
  • Previous experience working with children is necessary for this role.
  • Strong English proficiency is required, at approximately C1 to B2 level.
  • Interest in ongoing personal and professional development is important.
  • You should be motivated to use your expertise to support children in their growth.
  • Teamwork is essential, and comfort in an international team environment is valued.

Perks and Benefits

  • Structured onboarding and training with support from a tandem partner.
  • Freedom to independently plan and deliver activities.
  • Access to individual external training opportunities.
  • Dedicated pedagogical days for professional development.
  • 32 days of annual leave.
  • Competitive pay with bonus payments.
  • Opportunities to grow into roles such as group leader, deputy centre manager, or centre manager.
  • Regular team events.
  • Housekeeping support to reduce non-teaching workload for educational staff.

Additional Information

The role is based onsite in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The workplace is part of an expanding organisation that values a loving, lively, and creative everyday atmosphere. The company emphasises both high-quality care and room for staff to help shape the way the centres work.
