Engineer - Electrical

Job Overview

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to supervise and inspect electrical tasks associated with road and highway infrastructure projects. This includes overseeing street lighting, traffic management systems, and coordinating utilities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety norms, and legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and closely monitor ongoing electrical installations.
• Review electrical works including street lighting systems such as LED, solar, and high mast lights.
• Assess traffic signals and road safety apparatus for proper installation.
• Inspect cabling works, both underground and overhead.
• Check electrical panels, feeder pillars, and junction boxes for adherence to specified standards.
• Ensure all execution matches approved drawings, bills of quantities, and method statements.
• Maintain stringent quality control by verifying materials and workmanship against IRC, IS, IEC, or other relevant standards.
• Identify and report installation inconsistencies and enforce corrective measures for any defects found.
• Oversee electrical testing procedures including insulation resistance, continuity, earthing and grounding, and functional checks of lighting and signal systems.
• Keep accurate records of inspection and testing activities.

Candidate Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Preferably hold certifications related to electrical inspection or safety.
• 3 to 7 years of practical experience in electrical inspection roles.
• Experience in supervision of road, highway, or infrastructure projects highly desirable.
• Proven ability in site inspection, testing, and quality assurance.
