Job description
Overview
Susquehanna International Group is a global quantitative trading firm that blends scientific discipline, curiosity, and innovation to develop and execute trading strategies. Its environment is highly collaborative and intellectually focused, bringing together researchers, engineers, and traders to work on systematic trading solutions. The firm uses machine learning and advanced quantitative analysis across large datasets to find actionable insights and build effective strategies for global markets.
In this role, you will join the Research team as an Analyst and work alongside senior analysts and traders to uncover opportunities in equity and options markets. The position involves delivering timely views on breaking news and detailed analysis of upcoming volatility events. You will be expected to identify opportunities that others may overlook by finding fresh information or interpreting known information from a different angle. The role is embedded within a sector-focused trading desk, and your analysis will have a direct influence on trading decisions.
The company strongly emphasizes learning and professional growth. You will gain hands-on exposure through close collaboration with analysts and traders, building practical knowledge needed for day-to-day work. You will also deepen your understanding of options and the decision-making approaches used by traders. This is a chance to combine finance, quantitative thinking, and creative problem-solving in a fast-moving proprietary trading setting.
Responsibilities
- Track and evaluate upcoming volatility catalysts.
- Share immediate views on news as it breaks.
- Build and maintain dividend forecasts.
- Assess special situations, including mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate events.
- Work with derivatives traders to develop investment ideas.
- Attend company events and conferences when needed.
- Carry out stock valuation and related analysis.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required at minimum.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial markets, with progress toward CFA qualification considered an advantage.
- Strong ability in written communication, analytical thinking, and financial research.
- Interest in macroeconomic developments and political events, along with working knowledge of them.
- Capability to manage several priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Exposure to trading environments and derivative instruments is preferred.
- Self-driven, quick to learn, communicative, and resourceful in solving problems.
- Willingness to work flexible and extended hours when required.

Development Focus
The role includes structured learning opportunities and close mentorship from research analysts and traders, with the aim of strengthening practical market knowledge and decision-making skills in options and equity research.
