The Evening Assistant Editor will be an integral part of the editorial team, responsible for enhancing the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of news and current affairs reporting. This role aims to broaden our editorial scope and deepen our content's impact. You will lead and guide a team of content producers, overseeing the execution, assignment, and coordination of editorial tasks. The evening shift operates from Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the publication of news content across our website and social media channels through effective editing, assignment, and story curation.
- Identify and report on significant news developments, both within Singapore and internationally, that have relevance to Singapore.
- Engage in news gathering, reporting, and the development of compelling stories.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the team of evening content producers.
- Independently manage project timelines and allocate resources efficiently.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking candidates with at least four years of practical experience in a newsroom or a comparable industry, including proven experience in team and project management. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following qualities:- Extensive reading habits and strong critical thinking abilities.
