Role overview

Sodexo is looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the newly created IFMS Transformation Office on a permanent, full-time basis at its Perth Support Centre in Balcatta, Western Australia. The role supports the transformation team in shaping and delivering commercial and financial strategy, while safeguarding the commercial quality of transformation and continuous improvement work, accounts, and processes.

The position is also responsible for developing strong client relationships and working closely with internal stakeholders to strengthen a customer-focused culture and uncover improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

Financial focus

  • Assist with business case development and reporting by providing analysis and commercial insight.
  • Maintain solid financial governance across change tracking and initiative management.
  • Assess commercial and financial risks and suggest practical ways to reduce them.

Commercial focus

  • Prepare pricing documents and contract variation proposals for both existing and new work.
  • Develop business cases, approval memos, and CAPEX submissions.
  • Carry out pricing assessments, escalation work, and review activities.

Operational focus

  • Improve team processes and help build a culture of accountability and positivity.
  • Guide and support team members on commercial and financial topics.
  • Complete regular site visits and review contract compliance.

Reporting focus

  • Support initiative tracking and financial reporting within set deadlines.
  • Continuously enhance reporting processes and the overall quality of management reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience

  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Between 5 and 8 years of experience in a comparable commercial or finance position.
  • CA or CPA certification is preferred, though not mandatory.

Skills and capabilities

  • Strong analytical ability and commercial judgement.
  • Advanced financial modelling capability.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Working pattern
