Job overview

We are looking for a Finance Executive based in Dubai, UAE, with 3 to 5 years of UAE experience in finance and accounting. The role calls for practical expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, VAT handling, payroll assistance, and financial reporting. This position is suited to someone who is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and comfortable managing several finance responsibilities across different teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee receivables by monitoring outstanding balances and following up for payment collection.
  • Manage payables by checking invoices, processing them accurately, and coordinating payments.
  • Keep daily records for sales, collections, and payment reconciliations up to date.
  • Monitor university commission invoices and pursue related receivable follow-ups.
  • Examine employee expense reimbursements to ensure documents are complete and VAT requirements are met.
  • Assist with payroll by validating reimbursement requests and salary-related claims.
  • Maintain VAT documentation and support VAT tracking, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Prepare financial trackers, reconciliation statements, and recurring reports.
  • Support audit readiness by arranging financial files, invoices, and backup records.
  • Help track office-level profit and loss performance and monitor expenses.
  • Work with internal departments and outside stakeholders on finance-related issues.
  • Ensure work is aligned with UAE accounting standards, VAT rules, and company procedures.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a closely related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of UAE-based experience in finance and accounts.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Practical experience supporting VAT, payroll, and financial reporting tasks.
  • Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and accounting fundamentals.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP software.
  • Strong analytical ability, planning skills, and communication capabilities.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and deliver work within deadlines.
  • Experience in a business operating across multiple locations is preferred.
  • Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period are preferred.
