Partiful is hiring a Finance Lead in New York, NY for a full-time, on-site position. What the role involves

As the company’s first finance hire, you will build and run the finance function from the ground up. The position covers strategic planning, operational finance, reporting, and cross-functional support so leadership can make fast and reliable decisions as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, own, and continuously improve the financial model that leadership will use for decision-making.
• Build scenario analyses for major company choices such as hiring, fundraising, expansion, and monetization.
• Define pricing strategy and create the unit economics framework for monetization initiatives.
• Handle the finance work for ticketing partnerships, including partner diligence, fee-discount modeling, sponsorship ROI analysis, and risk controls.
• Work closely with outside accounting and tax providers to keep the close process efficient and the financial records accurate and current.
• Design and manage finance controls, policies, and end-to-end process architecture.
• Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities across teams, including implementing actions rather than only surfacing issues.
• Set up the budget infrastructure, including department-level targets, Ramp cost centers and card limits, and reporting/visibility tools.
• Run day-to-day finance operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, internal and external reporting, cash management, cap table administration, and related tasks.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate has a strong finance foundation, startup experience, and the ability to own both strategic and detailed operational work. You should be highly analytical, meticulous with numbers, and comfortable using AI tools to improve workflows.

Compensation and application note

The salary range for this role is $170,000 to $190,000, depending on experience. Applicants should include a short note explaining what excites them about Partiful.
