Job description
Role Overview
Adani Electricity is hiring a Financial/Credit Analyst in Ahmedabad to support project finance, credit review, lender coordination, and ongoing monitoring for power transmission assets.
Financial Modeling
- Develop and maintain detailed project finance models for power transmission assets, covering tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) and regulated return (cost-plus) structures.
- Refresh models with project progress, revised cost estimates, debt drawdowns, and tariff changes.
- Run sensitivity and scenario studies to understand how delays, cost overruns, and regulatory shifts affect project IRR and DSCR.
Financing and Documentation
- Work with key project documents, including transmission service agreements.
- Prepare and update information memoranda for project financing and refinancing activities.
- Assist with term sheets, loan agreements, and other lender-related deliverables.
- Coordinate technical, legal, and financial due diligence with external advisors.
Stakeholder and Bank Liaison
- Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and multilaterals throughout the financing process.
- Handle lender queries and ensure smooth flow of data and information.
- Support compliance with lender covenants and recurring reporting requirements.
Credit Evaluation and Risk Assessment
- Review the credit strength of power transmission projects by assessing cash flows, counterparty exposure, and regulatory risks.
- Evaluate major risk areas such as approval timelines, payment security arrangements, termination payment provisions, and change-in-law clauses.
- Prepare internal credit notes, detailed information memoranda, presentations, and discussion material for lenders and internal teams.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Support post-financing monitoring of financing-document conditions.
- Track availability, billing efficiency, collection timelines, and adherence to financing terms.
Qualifications
The preferred educational background is CA, MBA in Finance, or CFA.
Experience
Candidates should have 2 to 4 years of experience in financial analysis or credit evaluation for infrastructure projects, ideally with exposure to banks and financial institutions, project finance, debt syndication, or rating assessments. Prior experience in financial modeling using Excel is preferred.
