Role Overview

Marina Bay Sands is looking for a Fitness Ambassador to join the Fitness Centre team in Singapore. This role focuses on creating a welcoming guest experience, supporting daily club operations, and helping maintain a polished, well-run fitness environment.

Guest Service and Club Support

  • Welcome guests warmly when they arrive and send them off courteously when they leave.
  • Greet every guest quickly, politely, and with a smile and eye contact.
  • Interact with guests across the fitness area, including the gym, and help them discover the centre’s services and facilities.
  • Offer refreshments such as water and towels whenever guests need them.
  • Help guests connect with personal trainers when requested.
  • Listen to guest feedback and respond promptly so issues are handled in a way that improves the overall experience.
  • Support the Fitness Club team during busy periods and staff breaks.
  • Suggest personal training or suitable fitness and wellness programmes that match guest preferences, and follow up on booking or arrangement requests.
  • Attend daily briefings to stay updated on fitness activities and property-related information.

Operational and Departmental Duties

  • Represent the OneMBS values and mission in daily conduct.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional, and friendly approach with guests, patrons, and colleagues at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and bring a proactive, solution-oriented attitude to tasks.
  • Build knowledge of the Fitness Centre, the property, major events, and current happenings on-site and in the city.
  • Be open to learning more about fitness, yoga, and other wellness programmes.
  • Follow the hotel’s accounting procedures for all cashiering-related activities.
  • Keep the Fitness Centre and surrounding areas clean and well maintained.
  • Inspect changing rooms regularly to ensure facilities are clean, functional, and in good condition.
  • Ensure amenities and clean towels or linen are sufficiently stocked, and remove used towels and linen as needed.
  • Collect freshly laundered towels and linen and send used items to and from the Laundry Department.
  • Assist with basic operation of cardio and strength equipment when needed.
  • Open and close the Fitness Centre according to management’s scheduled timings.
  • Carry out similar professional duties as requested by the Fitness Centre Manager.
  • Take on any other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Secondary education is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a professional workplace is required.
  • Background in customer service, hospitality, tourism, or another service-based field is an advantage.
  • Strong spoken and written English skills are needed for guest communication.
  • Applicants should maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • High energy, strong interpersonal skills, and a customer-first mindset are important.
  • Excellent guest relations and communication abilities are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, luxury environment is expected.
  • Team-oriented attitude with the initiative to help others when needed.
  • A consistent follow-through mindset and a strong can-do attitude are important.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Outlook is needed.
  • Basic cashiering and POS experience is preferred but not compulsory.
  • Must be available to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
