Floor Technician

Role overview

Allegiance Industries, Inc. is seeking a second-shift Floor Technician for an education facility in Columbia, SC. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with hands-on training provided. The role is suited to someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and ready to contribute beyond basic expectations.

Schedule

The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Key duties

• Use steam-cleaning methods to clean carpets.
• Operate the correct equipment to strip flooring.
• Wax and buff floors to maintain their finish.
• Apply sealants to protect floor surfaces.
• Perform deep cleaning on painted floors with suitable chemicals and degreasers.
• Keep buildings clean by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down other surfaces.
• Collect trash and dispose of it properly.
• Relocate heavy furniture and equipment when needed.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Applicants should have prior experience in floor care, along with the physical strength and manual dexterity needed for the work. The ability to spot safety risks and communicate them to the right staff is important, as is having dependable transportation. Candidates must also be able to follow schedules, meet commitments, take direction from a supervisor, and maintain a professional attitude.
