Role overview
BESIX Watpac is looking for a Foreman to join its Queensland Construction division. The role will initially support the Ipswich Hospital Expansion project and will be part of a capable and supportive project team.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly site activities, including materials, equipment and labour.
- Work with the Site Manager to assign site staff and resources and make sure project resources are available when needed.
- Review the construction schedule with the Site Manager and adjust the order of work when required to keep the project on track for completion.
- Ensure company procedures related to safety, industrial relations and quality assurance are followed on site.
- Confirm that all work complies with relevant standards and contract requirements.
Qualifications and experience
The successful candidate will need a qualification in building or construction, or a trade qualification in a construction-related field. Strong experience supervising commercial or industrial building projects to meet time, budget and quality expectations is also required.
Stakeholder skills
You should be able to communicate clearly, influence others positively and develop strong working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
