Job description
About the Company
Skailark is building a digital replica of commercial aviation, giving customers a fully connected view of industry data to support more efficient and more sustainable decisions. The company’s platform brings together information that is usually scattered across sources, helping airlines and airports act on a complete picture of the market.
The problem Skailark addresses is that aviation stakeholders generate and collect large volumes of data, but it is often not combined or used effectively. When decisions rely on incomplete or misunderstood information, the result can be unnecessary costs and avoidable carbon emissions.
Skailark’s product models the global aviation market in detail, including every seat on every flight across every airline. The platform is used by major airlines such as American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, and Transavia, as well as airports including London Heathrow.
Role Overview
As Founder’s Associate, you will work directly with the Founder and play a key role in the company’s next growth stage. This is a broad, hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, building structure, and moving quickly across different areas of the business. You will contribute to operations, product, finance, and business development while helping create processes that can scale with the company.
The role is varied by design, so each day may look different. It is a good fit for someone who wants wide exposure across a growing startup and enjoys turning ideas into action.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a close support partner to the Founder and help drive the company forward during its growth phase.
- Design, launch, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives spanning operations, accounting, product, and business development.
- Create practical workflows and systems that reduce manual effort and can grow with the business.
- Improve day-to-day operations by identifying bottlenecks, implementing better processes, and keeping communication flowing across teams.
Requirements
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Comfort managing several important priorities at the same time.
- Prior experience showing structured problem-solving, either in a full-time role or through internships.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a clear bias toward action and execution.
- Experience in a startup or consulting environment is a strong advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Must be based in Munich or open to relocating there.
- A valid European Union work permit is mandatory.
- Applicants should include university certificates, grades, a cover letter, and a referral letter with their application.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation based on experience.
- Flexible working hours.
- Ability to work from home two days each week.
- Opportunity to join a fast-growing, advanced technology startup.
- The chance to contribute to real progress in the aviation sector.
- Structured coaching and ongoing professional growth support.
- A collaborative, welcoming, and inclusive team culture.
- Team activities, offsites, and aviation-inspired fun.
Additional Information
Skailark is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes candidates from all backgrounds. The team is international and aims to build the future of aviation together.
The company also asks candidates to include their university certificates and grades, along with a cover letter and referral letter.
Note: The source included an unusual request about apples; this was not a role requirement and has been omitted from the rewritten listing.
