Job description
About Fuse Energy
Fuse Energy is an ambitious renewable energy startup focused on accelerating the transition to a terawatt-scale clean energy future. The company uses first-principles thinking and modern technology to reimagine the energy system.
It has raised $170M from leading investors such as Multicoin, Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, and Box Group, along with strategic angels including Nico Rosberg, the co-founder of Solana, and general partners associated with Meta, Revolut, Spotify, Uber, and others.
Fuse Energy is building a vertically integrated energy business spanning solar, wind, and hydrogen development, real-time power trading, and distributed energy installations. By selling directly to consumers, the company aims to reduce intermediary costs and pass those savings on.
In parallel, it is developing the Energy Network, a decentralised ecosystem of smart devices that rewards users in Energy Dollars for electrifying homes, shifting consumption to off-peak periods, and helping stabilise the grid. This is intended to support grid reliability for the growth of AI data centres and other energy-intensive sectors.
Role overview
The company is seeking a highly motivated and exceptional operator to work closely with the CEO on the most challenging and high-impact issues across the business. The right person will be able to move quickly from strategy to execution, structure ambiguous problems, and deliver results at a fast pace.
What you'll do
- Partner with the CEO on product, trading, strategy, finance, operations, and new business initiatives.
- Frame complex business questions, turn them into actionable plans, and carry them through to completion.
- Help shape product and commercial direction across current and future offerings.
- Review trading performance, supply economics, and operational constraints to identify improvements.
- Lead analysis and modelling for new markets, products, and regulatory settings.
- Support the strategy for renewable project development and assess potential opportunities.
- Build pricing, forecasting, and commercial models.
- Prepare briefing documents, analyses, and decision materials for the CEO.
- Assist with negotiations and maintain important strategic partnerships and commercial relationships.
- Own priority special projects and cross-functional workstreams from start to finish.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree from a top STEM university, ideally with coding exposure or strong analytical experience.
- A strong record of standout achievement.
- The ability to simplify complicated problems and act on them quickly.
- Comfort operating with speed, switching between priorities, and working with limited direction.
- Confidence working independently and alongside teams across functions.
- A relentless, highly detailed, and hands-on operating style.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation plus an equity sign-on bonus.
- A biannual bonus plan.
- Fully covered tech equipment suited to the role.
- Paid annual leave.
- Breakfast and dinner allowance for employees based in the office.
