Job description
About the Company
CoinedOne is building FutureReady, a career-discovery platform designed for young people from school age through college. The product helps students explore realistic, future-proof pathways before they make decisions that are difficult to reverse. The company is focused on bridging the gap between policy expectations and on-ground access to career guidance in schools and colleges.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, in-office position in Kochi, Kerala, reporting directly to the founder. The role sits in the founder’s office and combines three closely connected areas of responsibility: talent acquisition, business development, and operations. Hiring is the primary focus at the start, with additional ownership in partnerships and day-to-day business operations added over time. The team is looking for someone who can work close to the founder, take real ownership, and help the company execute as it grows.
Why This Role Exists
The company is addressing a large gap in India’s education ecosystem. Career guidance is now an important part of schooling under NEP 2020, and career counsellor appointments have been made mandatory in CBSE affiliation rules, with guidance expected to begin as early as Class 6. Even so, schools often lack the systems to deliver this support, and college students face similar uncertainty at the next stage. FutureReady is being built to fill that gap.
What You Will Do
- Manage end-to-end hiring for early-stage roles, including drafting job descriptions, finding candidates, screening, coordinating interviews with the founder, handling offers, and supporting onboarding.
- Create a reliable hiring process by maintaining a clean candidate tracker, reporting weekly funnel movement, and keeping hiring timelines transparent.
- Help establish the employer brand through career pages, job postings, and outreach to campuses and colleges for early talent pipelines.
- Build the initial pipeline for school and college partnerships by identifying target institutions, sending outreach, and arranging introductory discussions with principals and placement teams.
- Maintain a disciplined and accurate CRM and lead pipeline, especially for partnership outreach.
- Support the founder with partnership presentations and follow-ups, then gradually take ownership of smaller deals from start to finish.
- Handle core operational work such as SaaS and tool administration, vendor coordination, basic finance administration, reimbursements, payroll inputs, and event coordination.
- Keep the company’s working rhythm on track through standups, goal tracking, documentation, and general process ownership.
- Take charge of special projects as they arise, even when they do not fit a standard function.
Success Milestones
- By day 30, you should have taken over the hiring tracker, begun posting and sourcing for open roles, and prepared an initial list of target schools and colleges.
- By day 60, you should be moving candidates toward founder interviews, making your first outreach attempts for partnerships, and resolving a few operational issues that were slowing the team down.
- By day 90, you should have contributed to closing the first hires, arranged meaningful partnership conversations, and become the person others turn to when something needs action.
Compensation and Growth
The monthly pay for this position is ₹50,000 to ₹60,000. There will be a review after six months based on clearly defined goals. The company notes that this band is at the upper end of the Kochi market for someone with this level of experience, and compensation is intended to reflect strong ownership and high expectations.
What the Role Offers
You will work directly with the founder and gain exposure to hiring, sales, and strategy on a daily basis. Over roughly 18 months, the role is expected to build cross-functional experience across three functions that many people only reach much later in their careers. As the company scales, this position can grow into a Talent or Operations lead path. ESOPs may be offered over time to people who consistently demonstrate strong ownership.
Additional Information
This is an in-office role in Kochi, and being physically present is considered an important part of the job. The company is looking for someone who genuinely wants to help students make better decisions about their futures and who is comfortable working on tasks that range from strategic to operational.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has around 2 years of experience in a role involving real interaction and ownership, such as recruiting, sales, business development, account management, operations, agency work, or startup generalist roles. The company values evidence of end-to-end ownership more than a pure recruiting background. Strong communication in English is important, and Malayalam is considered a strong advantage for local outreach. Candidates should be comfortable working with numbers, taking initiative with limited resources, and balancing high-level conversations with practical execution. A background in startups, edtech, founder’s office work, ATS/CRM tools, or Notion is helpful but not required. Experience or relationships in Kerala’s school and college ecosystem is also a plus.
Eligibility
Applicants should be based in or willing to work from Kochi in a full-time, in-office setup. The role is suited to professionals with approximately 2 years of relevant experience who are comfortable operating across hiring, partnerships, and operations. Candidates should be able to communicate well in English, and Malayalam is an added advantage.
Note
The company prefers to under-promise and over-deliver. It does not want to offer a title or promise that cannot be supported. Instead, it is looking for someone who earns growth through performance and ownership.
