Role overview

We are seeking an entry-level Data Analyst to join the team in Australia. This full-time position is suited to a motivated graduate or junior candidate who wants to build a career in analytics and business intelligence. The role focuses on turning raw data into useful insights that help improve business decisions and day-to-day operations.

What you will do

  • Gather information from different sources, then clean, structure, and prepare it for analysis and reporting.
  • Help build reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that align with business goals.
  • Track key performance indicators and look for trends, patterns, outliers, and unusual movements.
  • Carry out validation checks and quality reviews to keep datasets accurate and consistent.
  • Work with business teams to provide insights and recommendations based on data.
  • Support SQL-based querying, database handling, and data extraction tasks.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and wider business requirements.
  • Record analytical steps, methods, and results clearly for future reference.
  • Assist with one-off analysis requests and continuous improvement work.
  • Keep up to date with new analytics tools, technologies, and best practices in the field.

Requirements

  • You must have Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work authorization for Australia.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • You should bring strong analytical thinking and solid problem-solving skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data handling methods is needed.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with relational databases are important.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools will be considered an advantage.
  • A careful approach to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy are essential.
  • Clear communication and presentation ability are required.
  • Prior internship exposure, academic projects, or any hands-on experience with data analysis is helpful but not mandatory.
