Job description
About the Team
The marketing group at OpenAI shares the company’s story and explains the value of its work to a global audience, primarily through openai.com. This compact, adaptable, and expanding team handles design and development needs across the organization, operating within a broader marketing, design, and product function.
Its mission is to present the progress and impact of AGI and OpenAI’s products in a polished, easy-to-use, scalable, and systematic way, while staying transparent and authentic.
About the Role
OpenAI is hiring senior frontend engineers for the marketing engineering team to deliver new experiences for millions of visitors to openai.com worldwide. The role involves working alongside other engineers, design collaborators, and stakeholders from across the company.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with design, marketing, and other partners across the business to help communicate OpenAI’s mission to the public.
- Create and maintain performant, reusable frontend systems for a high-traffic web application serving millions of users each day.
- Plan, set up, and run the frontend infrastructure needed to build, test, and deploy the website.
What You’ll Bring
- Hands-on experience building production web applications at scale with TypeScript, Next.js or Remix, React, plain JavaScript, and CSS; experience with visualization or charting libraries is a plus.
- Comfort working on complex products and systems from the ground up, especially when the supporting development infrastructure is limited.
- A strong drive to learn quickly, identify missing knowledge, and clearly share what you learn with others.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and bring structure where it is needed.
