Role overview
Ferrero Cork is looking for a General Operator who can help keep the production line running efficiently, support quality control, and step in to assist the team during busy periods. The position is based in Cork, County Cork, Ireland and follows a rotating 3- and 4-shift schedule. Shifts are 12 hours long, covering mornings and nights, including weekends. Flexibility is essential because the shift pattern may be adjusted to meet department requirements.
What you will do
- Help maintain company standards and keep the machine or production line operating smoothly.
- Carry out routine production and quality checks and record the results when needed.
- Work toward production goals by ensuring output matches the planned quantities.
- Support clean working practices by maintaining housekeeping and hygiene standards in your area.
- Assist with waste handling processes and sustainability-focused initiatives.
- Show a solid understanding of the production process and contribute to changeovers by making sure materials from previous runs are cleared away.
- Promote safe working practices and encourage safety awareness across the team and work area.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
- Complete all tasks carefully in line with company standards and help ensure documentation is finished correctly with Section Leaders or Management.
- Report any accidents or incidents promptly to the Section Leader or Manager.
