Role Summary
This full-time, on-site Housekeeper position is based in Rajkot at The Marwar Regency Hotel. The role centers on keeping guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and shared spaces clean and presentable in line with hotel standards. The job also includes supporting guests politely, flagging maintenance concerns, and using cleaning tools and supplies responsibly.
Key Duties
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, washrooms, hallways, and common spaces to the property’s housekeeping standards.
- Make beds, change linens and towels, and replenish guest amenities as required.
- Vacuum floors, remove dust, and sanitize fixtures, fittings, and touchpoints.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair issues noticed during the shift.
- Respond to guest requests in a respectful and helpful manner.
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and keep them stored properly after use.
- Work in coordination with housekeeping teammates and supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support a positive guest experience by maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the property.
Qualifications
- Good organizational ability to manage room-cleaning routines, supplies, and task priorities.
- Capability to handle laundry work such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and linen care.
- Clear communication skills for collaborating with team members and addressing guest needs.
- A service-oriented attitude with polite, professional, and guest-first behavior.
- Willingness to learn and follow hotel procedures, safety practices, and hygiene rules through training.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or a hotel environment is helpful, though not required.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift moderately heavy items for long periods.
- Dependability, punctuality, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays when needed.
