Job description
Overview
This role sits within the QA/QC department in Qatar and is focused on strengthening the Integrated Management System (IMS) through audits, compliance checks, and continual improvement activities. The position contributes to keeping the organization aligned with ISO standards, internal procedures, and all applicable regulatory obligations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out internal IMS audits against the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Build audit plans and checklists, document results, and track corrective as well as preventive actions through to closure.
- Review day-to-day compliance with company policies, procedures, and IMS expectations.
- Spot non-conformities and improvement opportunities, then support teams in resolving gaps and implementing corrective measures.
- Maintain IMS records, documentation, and the audit calendar/schedule.
- Take part in external certification audits and surveillance audits when required.
- Help drive awareness sessions and training related to quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety systems.
- Compile audit observations, KPI updates, and inputs for management review meetings.
- Verify adherence to legal, regulatory, and client-specific IMS requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a closely related field.
- Certification as a Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 is required; ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications are an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in IMS, QA/QC, or audit-related roles.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
- Background in construction, engineering, or infrastructure is preferred.
- Strong communication, report writing, analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Certification Preference
- IRCA Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001.
- Internal or Lead Auditor certification for ISO 14001.
- Internal or Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001.
