Role overview
Al Ain Rotana is looking for a driven and service-minded IT professional to oversee daily technology operations at the hotel in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on keeping computer hardware, software, networks, and IT support services running smoothly while maintaining strong customer service standards and supporting business continuity.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for all PC and computer hardware servicing.
- Track software licenses and make sure all systems are covered by the correct maintenance agreements.
- Keep an adequate stock of computer-related consumables and supplies.
- Maintain detailed records for hardware assets and all hardware service requests.
- Administer configuration records, program files, and data files across the computer environment.
- Monitor software performance and keep logs for performance reports, error checks, integrity checks, system faults, and the fixes applied.
- Build and run an effective service desk framework to strengthen IT support and sustain business continuity.
- Prepare periodic reports on support issues and review overall performance to improve service delivery.
- Ensure IT team members receive regular training to improve the quality of support provided.
- Oversee the hotel network and IT systems to maintain stable and efficient operations.
- Work with other departments to understand their needs and resolve issues that could affect operations.
- Liaise with IT vendors, suppliers, and contractual partners so that IT procurement and services are delivered on schedule.
- Coordinate with systems support teams and other service partners to ensure timely IT support delivery.
- Keep technology resources properly maintained to maximize uptime and performance.
- Apply policies and procedures that protect data and assets, preserve integrity and security, and support business continuity.
- Follow centralized service team processes for change notification implementation.
- Work in a safe, environmentally responsible manner that protects guests and employees and helps conserve the environment.
- Comply with the hotel’s environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Education and experience
Candidates should hold a degree in information technology or a closely related field and bring prior experience in a similar position. A strong understanding of IT-related functions is required, along with the ability to design networks and provide technical leadership. Excellent English communication skills are essential.
