Role Overview

We are recruiting an Inspector to join our team based at the VCC in Riyadh. The chosen candidate will be entrusted with performing inspections following all pertinent regulatory guidelines, preparing detailed reports, and offering technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex cases, escalation issues, and atypical inspection situations; serve as the initial point of contact for client and affiliate inquiries.
  • Carry out inspections as directed by the IC Coordinator, ensuring all necessary data for the inspection process is complete.
  • Strictly adhere to inspection procedures as outlined in the Inspection Job Order (IJO), Initial Assessment Form (IAF), Quality System procedures, and related documents.
  • Inspect various products according to the TFS ME IC Staffs Skills Matrix (D2-TFS-03-IC-135-AE).
  • Provide technical support aligned with ISO/IEC 17020 & ISO/IEC 17065 standards, where relevant.
  • Follow inspectors' manual guidelines and IJO protocols during inspection execution.
  • Ensure punctual submission of inspection reports to the TFS IC office, meeting established KPI deadlines.
  • Inform the Inspection Coordinator immediately upon detecting any risk-related information during inspections, using prescribed risk detection methodologies.
  • Manage and secure materials supplied by the IC Coordinator, reporting all usage, damages, or losses promptly for record-keeping and action.
  • Use company-provided tools and materials responsibly during inspections.
  • Report any deviations from standard procedures, as defined by the inspector’s manual, IJO, SGS Policies, and the SGS Code of Ethics, to the IC Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Microbiology, Nutrition, or a related technical discipline.
  • Preferably one year of experience in conducting inspections.
  • Industry-specific knowledge or technician/professional level expertise may substitute for inspection experience.
