Interior Design Assistant

Overview

We are looking for a proactive, detail-focused Interior Design Assistant who is eager to build a career in the field of interior design. This role is based on-site in Stanford, CA and is best suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, documentation, and supporting design development from concept through field verification.

Role Details

This is a full-time, on-site position that involves working around campus and may require driving for up to one hour per day. The job includes field visits for measurements and photographs, along with support for design documentation and coordination.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in an architecture or interior design firm is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture is required.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word is required.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Revit is considered an advantage.
• Ability to prepare furniture plans, finish plans, and elevations is preferred.
• 3D modeling and rendering skills will be an added benefit.
• Capability to create design palettes and compile finish boards is highly desirable.
• Experience verifying existing interior finish conditions in the field is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with finish and furniture specifications is expected.
• A valid driver’s license is required for the role.

Additional Information

The role calls for on-site field work, including taking measurements and photos as needed. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional driving within campus limits as part of day-to-day responsibilities.
