Job description
Role overview
This part-time Internal Audit Manager opportunity is based in Dubai and follows a hybrid arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The position focuses on evaluating financial and operational processes, strengthening controls, and supporting compliance and risk reduction across the business.
Key duties
You will be responsible for planning, carrying out, and documenting internal audit assignments from start to finish. The role includes building audit work programs, examining supporting records, testing transactions, assessing the design and effectiveness of internal controls, and identifying gaps in procedures. You will also prepare clear reports that summarize findings and practical recommendations for improvement.
In addition, the Internal Audit Manager will work closely with finance, HR, and operations teams, monitor corrective actions after audits, and advise management on audit practices and relevant regulatory expectations.
Qualifications and capabilities
The role calls for strong analytical thinking and the ability to review complex information, spot patterns, and reach conclusions based on evidence. A sound understanding of accounting and finance is required, including familiarity with financial statements and important financial ratios or indicators.
Applicants should have demonstrated experience in building, reviewing, and improving internal controls across both financial and operational areas. Practical exposure to audit work such as planning, fieldwork, testing, record review, and reporting is expected.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related discipline is required, while professional qualifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CA are preferred. Background in internal audit, risk, or compliance within recruitment, manpower, or other service-based businesses will be considered an added advantage.
Strong English communication skills are needed, both written and spoken, along with the ability to present findings effectively to people at different levels of the organization. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, professional skepticism, and discretion with confidential data.
This role requires the ability to work independently, handle several assignments within a part-time schedule, and deliver results in a hybrid working setup. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is essential, and experience with audit software or ERP platforms will be an advantage.
Work arrangement
This is a part-time role in a hybrid format, with work split between the office in Dubai and remote work as needed.
