About the Role
The Internal Auditor will help strengthen governance, compliance, and operational controls across the business, with exposure to Real Estate Development, Leasing, and Facilities Management. This position focuses on checking processes, examining financial and contractual records, tracking operational activity, and confirming that company procedures and legal requirements are being followed. The role also contributes to risk identification, review of exceptions or irregularities, and practical recommendations that improve controls and protect company assets.
Responsibilities
- Carry out audits of processes across departments to assess internal controls, policy compliance, and day-to-day efficiency.
- Examine and clear financial items such as petty cash, purchase orders, payment vouchers, broker payouts, and commission disbursements.
- Check and audit documents related to sales and property transactions.
- Review vendor contracts, broker agreements, tenancy and leasing contracts, and other legal or commercial paperwork.
- Assess project finance documents, including Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) and payments made to contractors.
- Handle spot checks and compliance reviews involving financial variances, operational concerns, or management-driven queries.
- Validate bank-related records such as bank letters, post-dated cheques (PDCs), escrow deposits, and Noqoodi transactions.
- Assist management with risk analysis, compliance checks, and audit-based recommendations.
- Visit sites and perform inspections to confirm operational activity and compliance standards.
Key Deliverables
- Fast and accurate review of financial transactions and contractual records.
- Verified approval of payment vouchers, commission payouts, and other operational payments.
- Completed process audits for departments, with clear findings and suggested actions documented.
- Audit reports, investigation notes, and risk assessments delivered to management.
- Validated property transaction files, including agreements linked to SPA documents.
- Inspection summaries prepared from on-site operational visits.
