Role overview
A leading investment organisation in Riyadh is hiring a Junior Accountant or recent graduate to join its finance function. The position is aimed at someone who wants to build a lasting career in accounting while contributing to day-to-day finance operations.
What you will do
- Keep the general ledger accurate and updated within the required timelines.
- Prepare journal entries and record them under supervision.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing work.
- Handle bank transfers and payment processing once the necessary approvals are in place.
- Help with bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks when needed.
- Organise and maintain records for accounting documents, transfers, and payments.
- Work with internal teams to gather invoices, approvals, and backup documents.
- Support the preparation of simple financial schedules and reports.
- Follow company procedures, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Applicants should be fresh graduates or have up to 1 year of relevant experience.
- Prior internship or cooperative training in accounting or finance is an advantage.
- A strong academic track record or excellent university performance is preferred.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting concepts is needed.
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge is required.
- High accuracy and attention to detail are important.
- Good communication and organisational ability are expected.
- The role requires discretion and responsible handling of financial information.
