Role overview
An independent integrated marketing and communications agency is hiring a Junior Social Media Manager to join its expanding team in London. The agency works across advertising, design, social media, UX/UI, web development, and media to create effective campaigns for a varied client base.
This is a collaborative, fast-moving environment where you will help shape social content and strategy for multiple brands while contributing to creative and commercially focused campaigns.
Location and working model
London area, United Kingdom. This position follows a hybrid setup, with at least three days each week based in the office.
Compensation
Salary is up to £30,000 per year.
What you will do
The role combines strategy, content, community management, and reporting. You will be expected to balance planning and hands-on delivery across several client accounts.
- Design and roll out creative social media strategies.
- Handle daily publishing and platform activity across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and X.
- Plan, schedule, and post content across multiple channels.
- Work with clients through meetings, calls, and ongoing communication.
- Support account budgets and contribute to commercial results.
- Produce or coordinate engaging multimedia content.
- Build and run campaigns, competitions, and brand activation activity.
- Develop relationships with influencers and creators.
- Carry out audience and market research.
- Oversee community interaction and customer engagement.
- Measure, review, and report on social media performance.
- Monitor competitor activity and spot growth opportunities.
- Use data and insights to suggest improvements.
- Set KPIs in line with client goals.
- Support and guide junior colleagues.
- Promote social media best practice across the wider business.
What the agency is looking for
You should bring hands-on social media experience, strong copy skills, and a solid grasp of how different platforms, content types, and analytics work. The agency is looking for someone organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
- At least 3 years of experience in a social media role within an agency, brand, or media setting.
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver social media strategies.
- Strong knowledge of social platforms, content formats, analytics, and current best practice.
- Excellent writing ability, with careful attention to detail, grammar, and brand tone.
- Genuine interest in social trends, cultural moments, and new digital opportunities.
- Experience managing online communities and engaging with audiences on behalf of brands.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal colleagues, clients, and external partners.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media management tools.
- Comfort working with process and collaborating across departments.
