Role Overview
Spigot Software Private Limited is seeking a Kafka Administrator/Engineer in Hyderabad. The role focuses on building and operating Kafka-based streaming infrastructure on AWS, with an emphasis on automation, reliability, and performance tuning.
What You Will Do
- Set up, run, and maintain Kafka clusters in the AWS cloud, using Ansible playbooks to support deployment and configuration tasks.
- Track cluster health and throughput, investigate incidents, and fine-tune resource usage to keep systems highly available.
- Work closely with application teams to shape scalable data pipelines built on Kafka messaging.
- Create and maintain automated deployment workflows with Terraform so infrastructure stays consistent across environments.
Experience & Technical Expectations
- Applicants should bring 4 to 18 years of hands-on experience with large distributed platforms such as Apache Kafka.
- A solid command of AWS services, including EC2 and S3, is required for supporting Kafka installations and operations.
- Experience writing Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automated deployment is expected.
