Job description
Job Summary
In this role, you’ll work under the direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Lab Manager to move laboratory specimens through the lab’s handling process in a safe and reliable way.
Workload and Hours
Scheduling is based on the current laboratory test workload. The Lab Manager may assign up to 40 hours per week, depending on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Transport lab specimens safely using established laboratory procedures.
- Deliver specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner.
- Maintain safe handling practices throughout transport.
- Work professionally and constructively with coworkers, physicians, administrators, patients, and visitors.
Training and Attendance Requirements
Annual mandatory education is required, and it is the employee’s responsibility to arrange and attend the required sessions.
