Job description
About the Role
This position sits within a global premium labels business and supports the production of printed goods for well-known brands. The role reports to the Shift Manager, who is deputized by the Production Manager, and is accountable for the daily print manufacturing workflow based on the production plan. The position covers both lithographic and digital printing.
What You’ll Do
- Produce printed goods accurately and within the required timeframe once production information is released, while staying compliant with all site requirements.
- Support, and where required undergo training on, guillotine and folding operations.
- Handle the day-to-day delivery of printed output and escalate any press-related or external issues that could affect the plan.
- Keep the print-plan status clearly communicated at all times using the approved tools and methods, and enter data into the Radius system accurately to support ongoing analysis.
- Deliver the print plan in a timely and cost-aware manner.
- Contribute to strong teamwork and to improving internal customer-supplier relationships.
- Work in a way that supports site hygiene, food safety, environmental, and safety programmes.
Experience and Skills
Practical lithographic printing experience is required; digital printing experience is considered an added advantage. The role also calls for excellent attention to detail, the ability to work accurately, a strong focus on meeting deadlines, a commitment to continuous improvement, and clear written and verbal communication. Experience using Radius would be beneficial.
