Role Overview

This full-time onsite position is for a lobby houseperson at a hotel property in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The role focuses on keeping shared guest-facing areas clean, orderly, and up to brand standards while supporting guest satisfaction and day-to-day housekeeping operations.

Key Duties

• Work a variable schedule that may include weekends, public holidays, and different shift timings.
• Respond to guest concerns and help resolve complaints in a way that supports a positive guest experience.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all assigned tasks throughout the shift.
• Follow housekeeping, safety, and security procedures, along with all house rules.
• Clean and service assigned public areas in line with the hotel and franchise quality standards.
• Return the housekeeping cart and replenish supplies at the end of the shift.
• Carry out periodic deep-cleaning and seasonal cleaning work as assigned.
• Take on additional duties when requested.
• Keep public hotel areas clean and ensure they meet the property’s cleanliness standards.
• Escalate maintenance issues when noticed and support guest needs or complaints as required.
• Protect the privacy and security of guest rooms and related areas.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience is required.
• Previous work in a hotel environment is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers, and colleagues.
• Working knowledge of safe chemical handling practices.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are an advantage.
