Role Overview
This position is for a logistics planning professional to support plant logistics projects for global OEM clients. The work focuses on designing and implementing efficient material movement and supply chain systems across inbound, in-plant, and outbound operations.
Project Scope
- Carry out logistics planning assignments for greenfield and brownfield environments.
- Build and refine end-to-end material flow from supplier to plant, line, warehouse, and yard.
- Develop solutions for line feeding, transport flow, returnable packaging, and yard movement.
- Support logistics layout design and optimization for plant operations.
- Apply lean logistics methods such as FIFO, Kanban, and supermarket-based planning.
Job Duties
- Execute plant logistics planning assignments for global OEM programs.
- Coordinate project teams working on logistics and supply chain management deliverables.
- Handle project planning, budgeting, implementation, and execution activities.
- Provide both technical and commercial inputs to the project team.
- Guide the team, maintain momentum, and ensure project targets are delivered.
Technical Requirements
- Experience in greenfield and brownfield logistics project execution.
- Strong understanding of inbound, outbound, and in-house logistics planning.
- Ability to design material flow systems across supplier, plant, line, warehouse, and yard.
- Knowledge of milk-run, JIT, JIS, and CKD/SKD logistics models.
- Familiarity with line-feeding approaches such as kitting, sequencing, and bulk supply.
- Understanding of transportation planning and returnable packaging management.
- Ability to plan logistics layouts and optimize yard and finished-goods vehicle movement.
- Working knowledge of lean logistics concepts including FIFO, Kanban, and supermarkets.
- Capability to map and improve logistics processes.

Special Requirements
- Prior exposure to global automotive clients is required.
- Knowledge of inbound, in-house, and outbound logistics is necessary.
- Experience in logistics planning for press shop, BIW, paint shop, TCF shop, and yard operations is expected.

Eligibility
Candidates with a Diploma or a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automotive, or Design are eligible. The role is intended for professionals with 2 to 10 years of experience in logistics planning or related supply chain work.
