About the organization
Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) serves more than 35,000 students across 66 elementary schools, 11 secondary schools, and continuing education and adult learning centres in Dufferin, Wellington, and the City of Guelph. Its workforce includes about 6,500 staff members dedicated to supporting student learning, achievement, and well-being.
The board operates on the ancestral, treaty, and title lands of the Michi Saagig of the Credit and the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, along with a specified tract of land granted to the Six Nations of the Grand River. These Nations continue to hold legal and specific rights in their territories, and the area remains home to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

Opportunity overview
The board is looking for a motivated secondary teacher to take on a Long Term Occasional assignment in Mathematics for one section at Wellington Heights Secondary School.
Location: Wellington Heights SS, Ontario, Canada
Assignment: Long Term Occasional Teacher - Math, 1 section
Effective dates: September 2, 2026 to February 2, 2027
Period(s): 4
Pay: $59,300.82 to $119,670.49 annually, prorated according to FTE. The rate is based on QECO rating and teaching experience, and the salary grid is effective September 1, 2025.

Role summary
The successful candidate will report to the principal of the assigned school and provide consistent, high-quality instruction while the regular teacher is away. The role supports student success and well-being in line with Ontario Ministry of Education expectations and board policies.
Important notes
The LTO assignment will conclude if the current incumbent returns to work.
