About the role
Dalata Hotel Group is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join its hotel team in Limerick. This role is suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is comfortable supporting a busy hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage the day-to-day maintenance workload efficiently, making good use of available resources for painting, decorating, and gardening tasks.
- Carry out preventive and routine maintenance work in areas such as tiling, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Examine faults in equipment and control systems and take steps to fix them.
- Support plumbers and electricians when issues arise in hotel systems.
- Work closely with colleagues across all hotel departments.
- Make sure all maintenance activity is completed to professional and safety standards.
- Follow health and safety rules and comply with HACCP procedures.
Requirements
- Prior experience in hospitality is an advantage.
- Safe Pass certification would be beneficial.
- Training or qualifications in trades such as painting, plumbing, or construction are desirable.
- Ability to work independently, stay self-driven, and manage priorities well.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Comfort working on several tasks at once in a fast-moving environment.
- Flexibility regarding working hours.
- Good level of English.
